3MM Team Report

What is the Team Report?

The 3 Minute Mile Team Report brings together Hogan assessment data (HPI, HDS and MVPI) to provide a clear, collective view of how a team operates. It highlights shared strengths, underlying motivators, and potential derailers, as well as where perspectives align or diverge. This gives leaders a deeper understanding of team dynamics – from decision-making and communication to areas of friction and opportunity – helping teams work more effectively together.

Building on the standard Hogan Team Report, we go further by adding tailored insight and interpretation. Alongside core outputs such as cultural anchors, behavioural trends, and emergent derailers, we include areas of alignment and divergence, configural strengths and risks, and practical development implications. The result of our team effectiveness assessment is a more actionable, context-rich view of the team – not just what the data says, but what it means and what to do next.

Why the Team Report?

Clearer Understanding of Team Dynamics

The Team Report provides a joined-up view of how your team operates, highlighting shared strengths, differences, and underlying drivers. It helps leaders understand why the team functions the way it does – from communication styles to decision-making – giving a clearer picture of what’s helping or hindering performance.

Identify Risks Before They Impact Performance

By surfacing potential derailers and risk patterns across the team, the report helps organisations spot issues early. Whether it’s overused strengths, blind spots, or misalignment, this insight allows you to proactively address challenges before they affect results, culture, or collaboration.

Stronger Alignment and Better Collaboration

The report highlights where team members are aligned – and where perspectives differ – across values, behaviours, and priorities. This creates an opportunity to build stronger alignment, improve collaboration, and reduce friction, helping teams work more effectively towards shared goals.

Practical, Actionable Development Insight

More than just data, the Team Report provides clear, practical guidance on how to improve team effectiveness. From identifying development priorities to informing team sessions or leadership interventions, it gives you a roadmap for turning insight into action and driving meaningful change.

Achieve Effective Teams

Understanding individuals is valuable – but it’s how those individuals come together that determines team performance. Team-level insight reveals the patterns you can’t see at an individual level: where strengths combine, where gaps emerge, and where misalignment may be holding the team back. Without this view, challenges such as poor communication, unclear decision-making, or conflicting priorities often go unnoticed until they impact results.

The Team Report positions this insight as proactive risk management and performance optimisation. By identifying potential friction points, derailers, and alignment gaps early, organisations can take targeted action before issues escalate. At the same time, it highlights the strengths and dynamics that can be leveraged to improve collaboration, accelerate performance, and build a more effective, high-performing team.

Team Dynamics Assessment

The Team Report is valuable for any team looking to better understand how they work together – from executive leadership teams and boards, to newly formed or project-based teams. It provides a clear view of team dynamics, helping groups build alignment early, strengthen collaboration, and make more effective decisions.

It’s particularly impactful for teams experiencing conflict or misalignment, as well as organisations undergoing change. By offering an objective, shared understanding of what’s driving behaviour, the report helps teams reset, refocus, and improve performance – regardless of size, level, or stage.

How Evaluating Team Effectiveness Works

Participants are invited to complete the Hogan assessments (HPI, HDS and MVPI). We’ll also gather a small amount of context about the team – such as objectives, challenges, and any specific areas of focus – to ensure the insight is relevant and tailored.

We then bring the data together into a bespoke Team Report, highlighting key patterns, strengths, risks, and areas of alignment or divergence. The report is typically delivered within a few working days, along with the option of a facilitated session or debrief to help you interpret the insights and turn them into practical actions.
